John Fry

John Fry is the founder of Ardent Studios in Memphis, TN, founded in 1959, though didn't become an official business until 1966.

The studio has been used by Bob Dylan, Big Star, Led Zeppelin, Isaac Hayes, B.B. King, R.E.M., Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Replacements the The White Stripes, Cat Power and M.I.A..

To date, Ardent has amassed over 70 gold and platinum albums and singles.
