John Congleton

John Congleton born April 5, 1977 in Lubbock, Texas, is best known as a Grammy nominated producer/engineer/mixer who made a name for himself in the alternative rock underground via production of his own band, The Paper Chase, and for many other artists. Congleton's production is usually notable by a signature dark sound and a rhythm section that is very large and enveloping. He continues to be managed by Adam Katz and Dana Childs of Tsunami Entertainment in Los Angeles.

In addition to his production work Congleton still continues to front the indie rock band, The Paper Chase, and write music for various projects, including MTV's Jackass, the Discovery Channel, and several Halloween sound effects/music CDs.

Kelly, The Mountain Goats, Swan Lake (the members of Wolf Parade and The New Pornographers), St. Vincent, Red Knife Lottery, Parata, Erykah Badu, The Roots, Minus Story, 90 Day Men, Autopilot Off, Marilyn Manson, Black Tie Dynasty, Bono (U2), We Ragazzi, Two Ton Boa, Pink Mountaintops, Hitch, Logh, Chin Up Chin Up, Sybris, Black Mountain, Baroness, Lightning Dust, Zzzz, Hagfish, Antony and the Johnsons, Mozella, Buddy Miles, MC Breed, William Elliott Whitmore, This Will Destroy You, Lymbyc Systym, Micah P. Hinson, The Appleseed Cast, Pompeii, Vessels, Spoonfed Tribe, Haymarket Riot, Single Frame, DARYL, Shearwater, Mount Righteous, Mount Vicious and Death is not a joyride.
