Seapine Software is a privately-held, Mason, Ohio-based software and services company whose products address software application lifecycle management and quality assurance. Seapine calls itself the “leader in quality-centric application lifecycle management".
Products
Seapine’s core products are as follows:
- TestTrack Pro for bug tracking, development workflow, and issue management
- TestTrack TCM for software test case management
- TestTrack RM for requirements management
- Surround SCM for software configuration management (sometimes referred to as source code management)
- QA Wizard Pro for automated software testing (Web, Windows and Java)
Seapine’s core products are also available in certain bundles (e.g. TestTrack Studio is a combination of TestTrack Pro and TestTrack TCM and is used for test planning and tracking.) Seapine’s core products are integrated with one another and when used together can form a comprehensive application lifecycle management solution for advanced software development. Seapine also offers software implementation and integration services including data conversion, custom reports, custom test scripts, custom workflows, and training.
Awards
According to the company’s website, on June 6, 2008, the company announced that it had been named to SD Times Magazine’s annual “100 list” for the fifth consecutive year as a winner in the Application Lifecycle Management category. In 2007, its TestTrack Studio product won a Jolt! Award at the SD West conference.
History
Seapine was established in 1995 by Rick Riccetti, who saw an opportunity for a Mac OS-based bug tracking tool. His successful basement start-up company then created additional solutions around other parts of the software development lifecycle. Seapine now claims more than 8,500 customers, with more than 100 employees. It occupies 38,000 square feet (3,500 m 2 ) of office space in Mason, Ohio as its headquarters, development center and data center. Seapine also has offices in Melbourne, Munich, and London.
