Founded in 1995 by Eric Goldreyer under the name Inns and Outs, the company acquired the URL BedandBreakfast.com in 1998 and changed its name to match. The company was sold to Worldres, Inc. based in San Mateo, CA in 1999. In 2002, Eric Goldreyer acquired the company back from Worldres, Inc., and in 2004 moved its location from Denver, Colorado to Austin, Texas.
