I suggest removing link to roller hockey (inline). This points to a redundant article that largely replicates the material in this article.

Inline hockey is the name of the sport - hence, USA Hockey Inline. Roller Hockey is the game played with quads and has its own article.

Others would disagred that INline Hockey is the name of the sport

I absolutely understand that the sport is beginning to take on the emerging identity: Inline Hockey, and perhaps you could offer deeper understanding to the public, explaining the sport and its evolving names and rules, but we can't in the meantime ignore it's other well known identity Roller Hockey, played on Inline skates, worldwide- before wiki can declare one name as the name. -Hardballhock

I have played Inline Hockey in the UK for over seven years, and while I and everyone I know who plays the sport calls it "rollerhockey", the official name for the sport which I play (on four inline wheels, rather than four wheels in a square) is "inline hockey". I played in a tournament a few years back and I'm pretty sure the governing body was for "inline hockey". Hope this helps. (PS. this is my first edit. I don't know much about quad hockey but I don't see any reason for a comparison. Certainly before any comparison can be made the quad hockey page needs to be improved. It gives almost no details about the rules of the game. RaydenUni (talk) 18:28, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

There is a growing section regarding Similarities and Differences Between Roller hockey (Quad) and Roller hockey (Inline) on the Roller hockey page. Also Quad's page includes *International rules of the game -Roller hockey(Quad) in English that are currently being updated by the governing bodies International_Roller_Sports_Federation, Comité Européen de Rink-Hockey, andComite Internationale de Rink-Hockey (Quad) unfortunately the rules had been buried in the see also links -hope this helps --Hardballhock (talk) 07:29, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

Rewrite necessary

Apologies, but I don't have the time to fix this and/or the motivation. But this article has gone from bad to worse and it needs to be corrected. And yes, I know I'm not being very helpful, just thought I'd point out that the article is need of repair!

Some of the previous versions of this page were vastly superior, albeit still not very good. In particular, it seems to have a strong USA bias which is inappropriate for an international encyclopedia.Womblina 01:49, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

I agree with Womblina, this needs a rewrite to remove the silly USA bias. Much of the edits were obviously done by an American, but it should be written from an external perspective, not from a secluded localized view of the sport. Perhaps an overview of how it typically played worldwide is in order, followed by a section outlining the differences in how it is played in various parts of the world.
