Dc Shoes Sale

DC Shoes is an American company specializing in footwear for extreme sports, including skateboarding, snowboarding, BMX, motocross, rally car racing, and surfing, as well as snowboards, shirts, jeans, hats, and jackets. DC Shoes' most asked for shoe was the "Lynx 2" once they stopped making them. Skateboarders who have skated the shoe said that the "Lynx 2" were the best shoe they have ever skated.

The company was founded in 1993 and is based in Vista, California. DC originally stood for 'Droors City Footwear', but since the sale of Droors (which is now defunct), DC no longer has ties to Droors and is simply DC Shoes.

On March 10, 2004, DC Shoes was acquired by Quiksilver in a $87 Million USD transaction.

DC Video

The DC Video is a 2003 compilation of skateboarding tricks by various skateboarders sponsored by DC Shoes. It is approximately 46 minutes long and was produced by former pro skateboarder Greg Hunt. It has been released on VHS, DVD, and UMD for PSP.

It features Danny Way performing on the DC "mega ramp" at Point-X Camp, on which on the 12th June 2003 he consecutively broke the world records for longest distance jump (backside 360) and highest air (23.5ft backside air) together in the same run.

Other skateboarders appearing in the video include Rob Dyrdek, Ryan Gallant, Josh Kalis, Colin McKay, Anthony Van Engelen, Brian Wenning, and Stevie Williams.

In popular culture

• Travis Barker, member of pop punk groups blink-182, Transplants and +44, had a shoe and hat line influenced by him called DC Travis Barker remix.

• In 2003 and again in 2008, Linkin Park frontman, Mike Shinoda, teamed up with DC Shoes to make his own line of DC "remix" shoes. The line is known as DC/MS. The project featured a "great juxtaposition of Mike's unique influences: accomplished artist versus recording-breaking musician, American upbringing versus Japanese heritage." The MS/DC line ended up making two different shoes, Xander and Pride. Both shoes were made available to purchase on August 1, 2008.
