Alfarnatejo is a town and municipality in the province of Málaga, part of the autonomous community of Andalusia in southern Spain. The municipality is situated approximately 50 km to the city of Málaga. It has a population of approximately 400 residents. The natives are called Alfarnateños and the town's nickname is Palancos.
Close to the village just a 10 minute walk away, is a mobile home site, Villa Alta. Nearly all the homes are British owned homes. Nearly all the residents on this site have purchased a share in the plot of land on Villa Alta where their home is sited. They then pay a charge for electricity which is metered, water which is metered, and a maintenance fee. There is a club house open from 12 noon until midnight and there is a swimming pool. The site is secured by gates that can only be opened by residents and owners by a key fob. There are fantasic mountain views in all directions.
